The basketball players of Alba Berlin have again celebrated a sense of achievement after ten defeats in series in the Euroleague. Bavaria Munich’s basketball players also celebrated a victory.

In the basement duel, Bundesliga club Alba Berlin in Belgrade won against the Israeli champion Maccabi Tel Aviv with 93:87 (46:48). Alba still remains the bottom. The best Berlin launchers were Yanni Wetzell with 22 points and Malte Delow with 14 points.

Coach Israel Gonzalez had to do without the battered duo Matt Thomas and Gabriele Procida again. The young plants Anton Nufer and Amon Dörries stood in the squad. At Maccabi, the ex-Berliner Tamir Blatt and the Treeli’s Trevion Williams, who changed from the Spree, only belonged to the team shortly before Christmas.

This is behind Alba Berlin’s extraordinary trainer plan

Alba Berlin’s head coach Israel Gonzalez and his team have experienced a season to forget for a season so far. His expiring contract and the commitment of Pedro Calles seemed to be out of the coming summer – a misconception. By Jakob Lobachmore

Alba with more speed in second half

In view of the hopeless table situation for both teams, the game was not led with the greatest intensity. Alba met better from a distance and always stayed on Maccabi. The guests also got out of the cabin better, took the lead in the third quarter and then expanded them further. Maccabi made many mistakes that Alba punished with quick counterattacks. Six minutes before the end, the Berliners even led 83:67. In the end they had to tremble a little again, but brought the success to the finish.
