Basketball Bundesliga team BMA365 Bamberg Baskets has reached the top four of the BBL Cup for the third time in a row. In the quarterfinals, coach Anton Gavel’s team defeated MLP Academics Heidelberg 72:66 (34:27) on Thursday and is now in the final tournament on February 21st and 22nd, 2026.
The best thrower was Bamberg’s Demarcus Demonia with 21 points, while Marcus Weathers scored 20 points for Heidelberg. Bamberg lost the cup final against Syntainics MBC last season.
In the remaining quarter-finals, the VET-Concept Gladiators Trier will meet Bayern Munich next Sunday (6 p.m.), before Rasta Vechta will face EWE Baskets Oldenburg (6:30 p.m.) and Alba Berlin will face Science City Jena (8 p.m./every day) on Monday.
