Race-1 is from Virtus. At the Segafredo Arena the Vu Nere exceed only one length (68-67) the Olimpia thanks to a masterpiece in the final of Shengelia, once again the best scratch of Ivanovic’s team with 18 points. Bologna and Milan will return to the field for Race-2 Monday, while tomorrow it will be the turn of Brescia and Trapani.

balance

Bologna starts with an extra gear. Despite the non -bright percentages, the black vu show themselves capable of exploiting offensive misemches and in their own half of the field they limit the Olimpia well. Ivanovic prefers to save in the start of the race, in his absence the most dangerous is Clyburn (9 points already in the first quarter). But when Virtus falls concentration, Milan begins to be serious: Flaccadori capitalizes on the courses on the counterattack and guides a partial of 14-0 that carries on the EA7. And when Virtus returns to get alive, Mirotic thinks about maintaining the advantage. The match is however in balance: at the siren of the first half, the men of Messina are on only a full possession (30-33).

final masterpiece

In the second half the two teams proceed hand in hand: Shields salt of blows, Shengelia responds from the arch. The inertia moves to the shoulders of the Segafredo at the end of the third period, with a triple of Morgan who brings forward the black vu. The Olimpia holds the impact, but suffers the opposing physicality and soon grants the bonus in the last quarter. Virtus would have the good opportunity to escape, but suddenly lacks concreteness both under the basket and from the arch, and Milan returns to get alive: with a triple of Brooks and the easy support under Mirotic’s basket, the EA7 returns to drive (66-67) at 30 ” from the end. It is Shengelia who signed yet another counter-orpass with a masterpiece in departure that brings forward his (68-67) to 7 ” from the final siren. The victory ball for the Olimpia ends up in the hands of Mirotic, but the Spaniard does not find the bottom of the retina: race-1 goes to Virtus.
