Fitness chain Basic-Fit is acquiring its German competitor Clever Fit for 160 million euros. Thanks to the takeover, Basic-Fit, which is active in Belgium, becomes the market leader in Germany and, according to its own statements, also the largest operator of gyms in Europe. The company is expanding its presence in Europe from six to twelve countries.
