Bas van Sluis and Lyanne Levy of Dagblad van het Noord win journalistic prize De Loep

DVHN reporters Bas van Sluis and Lyanne Levy have won De Loep.

De Loep is awarded for the best investigative journalism in Flanders and the Netherlands.

Van Sluis and Levy, together with colleagues from NRC nominated in the ‘controlling’ category for their articles about the Groningen gas drama.

,,Lyanne and I are happy and honoured”, Van Sluis responded. ,,But it is especially good that Groningen is once again getting extra attention with this prize. Especially after this week in The Hague, which focused on 60 years of gas extraction.”

Flemings Inge Vrancken and Rudi Vranckx from VRT and four journalists from Investico / De Groene Amsterdammer were competition for the price.

The Loep has been awarded since 2007 by the Association for Investigative Journalists.
