Bas Smit and Nicolette van Dam recognize that their beloved influencersloffs can indeed shrink. Getting wet, then left in the sun and hop, you suddenly have children’s slippers.

The slippers scandal around the Happyflops advertised by Bas Smit and Nicolette van Dam continues. Since De Telegraaf took a closer look at the hip-looking-like slippers, complaining buyers have finally heard. From soles that warp to shrinking specimens: you absolutely cannot trust those things.

Plain

Yet the BN’er duo continues to defend the collaboration full of fire. “Due to the success of Happyflops in the Netherlands, the company became overwhelmed, so that customer service temporarily faltered. We have continued all the complaints we have received from our followers and have resolved,” Bas and Nicolette say to News of the day.

People can now fully complain about Happyflops. “In the meantime, the processes on the back are more in order and we can only say that all complaints are neatly resolved.”

Shrink

Bas and Nicolette acknowledge that the slippers can shrink. “We acknowledge that the slippers can shrink when they have become wet, and then lie in the sun for more than 24 hours. This is due to the soft material of the sole. If that happened to you? Then you can get new slippers through Happyflops.”

They continue to promote the brand because it is very lucrative for them. “We stand behind our collaboration with Happy Flops and have received thousands of messages from enthusiastic customers who they enjoy walking and even repeated several couples. We also walk nothing more than on the Happyflops with our family.”

50 euros

Telegraaf reporter Jordi Versteegden is critical. “I assume that if people have bought these things for 50 (!) Euros – I have never bought slippers of 50 euros frankly – then you can still assume that you can simply use them in the sun. You can of course expect quality for that amount.”

However, you do not get quality with Bas and Nicolette, he believes. “You can order these same slippers on sites like Temu for 89 cents!”

What does the reporter think of their statement? “Just share it on your Instagram page, then everyone knows where he stands!”
