So many people, so many opinions. HLN sent reporters all over the country and asked 50 people who their Belgian of the year is. Bart De Wever? Or the original K3s after the record series or Pommelien after Werchter and Pukkelpop? Or just a cyclist – world champion Evenepoel or scoundrel Wout Van Aert? But surprisingly: not one favorite emerged, but many different Belgians – sportspeople and politicians, TV figures and artists, but just as Deserving People. “Give me the Heroes of Tomorrowland. To experience such a fire and then allow such a festival to go ahead: that is world class.”
