“Barry Paf makes me sick!”

Bram Moszkowicz went completely crazy in Shownieuws yesterday. He lashed out hard at Barry Paf, presenter on radio station 100%NL. “Such a man makes me sick!”

It is still not clear whether Marco Borsato will be prosecuted for sexually assaulting a fifteen-year-old girl. She, now in her early twenties, filed a report almost a year and a half ago, but the Public Prosecution Service has not yet made a decision. Because this is such a serious fact, Marco can evoke unwanted emotions in some people.

Brad angry

For that reason, many media parties decide not to confront their viewers and listeners with Marco’s music until there is more clarity. Bram Moszkowicz detests that from the start, but consistently leaves unmentioned that he has a connection with the Borsato family through his son, an artist manager.

Now that the Public Prosecution Service has decided not to prosecute Marco for any misconduct at The Voice – that was already in line with expectations, because no report was made – Bram says, annoyed in Show news: “So you see, and I want to say that: Borsato is no longer played, eh, for a year and a half in the Netherlands. Ridiculous, isn’t it?”

‘I’m getting sick’

Colleague Tooske Ragas then starts a fragment of 100% NL DJ Barry Paf. He says: “We were just talking about: should we start playing Marco Borsato again or not? But of course there is another case that is ongoing and we still want to wait and see.”

Then Bram almost suddenly pukes all over the television desk. “A man like that makes me sick when I hear him”, he says pissed off.

Bart Ettekoven surprised: “Barry Paf can’t help that, of course. That is of course the channel management of 100% NL.”

Bram: “Yes, but good: he gets it out of his throat. Who is he? Then you have to say: I will not do it.”

Inciting Tooske: “He said it with conviction.”

“It’s outrageous!”

Bram: “He is not the judge in the Netherlands, is he?”

Colleague Sandra Schuurhof: “No, but 100% NL is not unique in that. That’s all the radio stations.”

Bram: “Yes, that is scandalous. How about Danny de Munk, who no longer received any assignments? That has not become a criminal case.”

Sandra: “Yes, but now there is a criminal case, right?”

Bram: “Yes, but my opinion is: even if there is a criminal case, you have to run Borsato as long as the judge has not said that he is guilty.”

Glennis and Ali

Bart: “You say: Glennis Grace beats up a supermarket and the next day they can just cheerfully sing I Will Always Love You?”

Bram: “No, I’m not saying that.”

Sandra: “Yes, in the end it is the same.”

Bram: “No, that is not the same at all. There was evidence from the beginning that that woman was wrong. That is not the case with Borsato.”

Sandra: “Yes, but there are also victims who have reported this.”

Bram: “But that’s not the point, is it? It has not been proven. Look! One case has already been dropped! Well.”

‘absolutely disagree’

Sandra: “But four were also not dismissed.”

Bram: “No, but I’m talking about Borsato. I think that man should be turned as long as the judge has not decided that he is guilty.”

Bart: “Yes, but if you think like that, then in your opinion Ali B could just sit happily in a jury again now?”

Bram: “Yes, until it is decided that the judge has said that he is guilty.”

Sandra: “I absolutely disagree with that. With that you really ignore the victims completely.”
