Barry Keoghan has deactivated his Instagram account. The reason for this is the offensive behavior and “disgusting comments” on the Internet, as the actor now announced on the X platform.
“Lies, hate, disgusting comments”
On December 7, the Irishman shared on X: “I can’t take this anymore. My name has been dragged around the internet in a way that I don’t normally respond to.” The Saltburn star continued: “I have to respond now because we’re at a point where too many boundaries are being crossed . I deactivated my account because I can no longer allow this stuff to distract me from my family and work.”
Keoghan also wrote about the negative messages that they were “absolute lies, hatred, disgusting comments about my appearance, my character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine.” They are trashing my character and everything I have worked extremely hard for and stand for.”
The 32-year-old Mime then gave a few examples. He was called a “heroin baby,” which involved his mother getting involved in the negative comments and also knocking on his grandma’s front door. And: “Sitting in front of my little boy’s house and intimidating him. That crosses a line.”
Keoghan wants to be a good father
Keoghan tried hard to be a good father for his son Brando. The child comes from the relationship with Alyson Sandro. “Every day I work harder to push myself on every level to be the healthiest, strongest person for this boy. I want to give him the opportunity to learn, fail and grow. I want him to be able to look up to his father, to have complete trust in me and to know that I have his back no matter what happens.” Finally, Keoghan asked for more respectful behavior from everyone. He doesn’t want his son to have to read such statements about his father in a few years.
Rumors about the end of the relationship with Sabrina Carpenter
The deletion of his social media account followed after numerous media outlets such as “People” reported on Keoghan and Sabrina Carpenter’s relationship breakup. It was reported here on December 3rd that the two had decided to take a break after dating for almost a year. An insider also told the magazine: “They are both young and career-oriented, so they have decided to distance themselves from each other for now.”
Relations between the US singer and the actor had been unclear for months, at least to the public. For a long time it wasn’t sure whether the two were still together or not. In addition, according to the Hollywood Reporter, the alleged separation led to several speculations that Keoghan had previously cheated on the “Espresso” artist. So far, there has been no comment from the actor or the musician herself on the topic.
