Lamine Yamal had already missed a game in the Spanish league – to the trouble of coach Hansi Flick. Now the coach has to do without the superstar in the “premier class”.
FC Barcelona has to do without Lamine Yamal in the Champions League game at Newcastle United on Thursday evening (9:00 p.m.). According to the club, the 18-year-old offensive player is not in the line-up for the game in England. Barça did not call a precise reason.
Yamal was missing from the clear 6-0 win against FC Valencia last weekend. Trainer Hansi Flick then commented critically towards the Spanish association. This used the national player despite complaints in the latest World Cup qualification games. “You gave him pain relievers so that he can play,” said the former national coach in a club announcement. Yamal had not been able to train because of complaints in the pubic area.
