The latest Barça TV report explains the benefits of the grassroots handball sports and educational program

Barca TV issued a report this Thursday where he revealed one of the secrets to the success of his youth academy, its sports and educational program that covers the categories from cadet to youth. The piece has the different points of view of the base handball coordinator of the barca, Raul entrerríosthe captain of the first team and formed in this project, Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas, and the current youth squad Pol Quiroga.
The report begins with the arrival of the homegrown players at 7:15 in the morning at the Polideportiu Blume, where they begin a day in which they combine their studies with a double training session. “We focus on individual technical-tactical improvement accompanied by physical work, but we give more time to dedicate to small details that we cannot do in the afternoon sessions”, he explains entrerríos about the morning session.
“Right now we have about 40 players between cadet and youth. Being able to work from an earlier age gives us the possibility that when they reach youth or senior they know more about the game and come more prepared,” said the coordinator. An opinion shared by Perez de Vargas: “For me it was the first contact with elite sport. It means getting into a very intense and necessary rhythm to reach the level that is needed today.”
“The leap in quality that I took in those years has been very important for the development of my career, the best experience I’ve had”, added the Barcelona goalkeeper.
