Captain of Aces Jesse Joensuu cleared Jukurien’s one-match suspension to Niclas Lundgren from the target boy.

The league’s disciplinary delegation states in its decision on Thursday that “Joensuu’s transverse stick is directed high and directly at the opponent’s head with reasonable force”.

In the match, Joensuu was given a second penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. The chief video judge has transferred the case to disciplinary proceedings.

– The delegation considers that Joensuu has recklessly endangered the opponent by hitting the opponent’s head with the cross stick. Considering the act, a ban should be imposed on the situation.

Ässät will still face JYP and Sport, in the first of which Joensuu will settle his suspension.

Ässät is in twelfth place, one point away from KooKoo managing the last playoff spot.
