Jason Kidd says Mavericks star Luka Doncic will not play his third game against the Jazz.
Coach Jason Kidd told the media before the game that the Maves star will be out of the field due to a calf injury he received in Game Three against the Utah Jazz.
Kidd: We said we’d be careful from the start of his injury, and we think his sit-in tonight is in line with that plan.
Kidd said Doncic had put in a lot of effort in the early hours of his afternoon practice and “did it all” and was feeling fine so far. Game 4 will be played on Saturday at 15:30.
After the team’s morning shootout—about eight hours before the tip-off—Kidd said Doncic would go through his usual pre-match routine before making a decision, but the decision to replace Doncic was made in the afternoon.
