Recommendations of the Editorial team
The friendly Puerto Rican next door comes to Germany. Bad Bunny will be filling Düsseldorf city center with sound for a whole weekend – anyone who lives in the sound system area of the Merkur Spiel-Arena will inevitably hear him. The superstar recently played ten concerts in a row in Madrid and, after his Spanish entourage, can now look forward to the Rhineland. It remains questionable whether the Germans will be as sure of the lyrics as the Spaniards or whether they will play the songs on the radio like a ten-year-old does. But one thing is certain: After Bad Bunny has transformed entire cities into his own fan zone, the whole of Düsseldorf can get ready for a hot weekend – and the sun is shining too.
Tickets
If you haven’t yet gotten tickets for the concerts on June 20th and 21st, you can look around on the secondary market – the tickets sold like fresh coconuts on Copacabana or Himmel und Ääd in the Rhineland. But resale tickets are also highly competitive and can cost a whopping 300 to 500 euros on the Ticketmaster resale platform.
Times and support act
Admission to the stadium starts at 5 p.m. As a support act, the Puerto Rican indie quartet Chuwi will perform their songs from 7 p.m. Then comes the man who Trump’s supporters don’t like at all: Bad Bunny. The show starts around 8 p.m.
Directions
The Merkur Spiel-Arena is located at Arena Straße 1, 40474 Düsseldorf, and is easily accessible by public transport. The U78 subway line goes directly to the Merkur Spiel-Arena/Messe Nord stop. Even after the concerts, trains run regularly to the city center throughout the evening.
Drivers can reach the arena from the city center via clearly visible signs. The arena provides official parking spaces signposted as P1 and P2; There is parking lot P7 for VIP guests. However, parking spaces P1 and P2 are a 20-minute walk from the arena – at least enough time to brush up on your Spanish skills with Duolingo.
Setlist
Bad Bunny has played a relatively consistent setlist at his previous European concerts. However, a different guest was invited every evening, whose songs Bad Bunny included in the program as exclusive covers. There are always some unexpected pieces included.

Weather
It won’t just be hot on stage: with around 26 to 30 degrees in the evening, you should swing your hips in loose clothing so as not to sweat on the way back. In addition, as always: Stay hydrated – and singing along loudly effectively disguises your lack of knowledge of Spanish.
