“Baca was born 8 years ago alongside the Audiovisual District. It is a cluster of companies in the sector, a dialogue table that enhances networking. We do not consider ourselves as a competition, nor as a chamber because we do not pursue any political objective. We are a space for dialogue in the face of the enormous challenges facing the industry, which is going through important changes, among other things, with the rise of platforms”, he explains. Lucas Mirvoisyour president.
“And the idea is not to finance a trailer, which is often unnecessary. If you don’t have a sales dossier and a script, which is the most useful tool to obtain financing. And BACA accompanies these projects so that they are done and do not remain as folders in a drawer. We close a according to Filmarket Hub for the projects they can be on the platform for free, in addition to having specific sales events for the winners”, adds the producer.
“BACA is made up of huge production companies, such as Media Pro or Kuarzo, but also independent production companies like mine, and even more specific ones. And our contest arises from a need to provide development resources and create new quality content. And also as a guide so that these projects can be carried out. BACA’s objective is to stimulate the audiovisual industry and collaborate in the generation of content for companies in this sector”, endorses Mirvois.
“We do it through patronage and with the support of the Itaú Foundation, which has accompanied us in the last two editions. And we have relevant international juries looking for a balance.
