AZ pulls wallet for third summer acquisition Jens Odgaard

AZ has completed the arrival of Jens Odgaard. The 23-year-old midfielder comes from the Italian Sassuolo and will sign in Alkmaar until the summer of 2027.

“My first impression is very good,” says Odgaard on the website of AZ† “All the way in this beautiful stadium and with the top facilities at the training complex. You won’t find that better easily. AZ is a big club in the Netherlands and therefore also for me. This is a big step for me and one in the right direction. can’t wait to start the Eredivisie and the European matches.”

In recent days, director of football affairs Max Huiberts was already abroad to seal the deal. The transfer fee of the midfielder would be around 4.5 million euros. “We have seen in recent years that he can play in several positions. We think he fits well here because he has proven that he can easily score goals. In addition, he is an intelligent player, good in small space and has a good shot in his left leg.”
