Young AZ attacker Ricuenio Kewal was in top form tonight. The fast winger was twice accurate in the 3-1 win over FC Den Bosch. Kewal already felt before the game that it would be his day.

“I already told Damienus Reverson in the car that I was going to score two goals,” said 20-year-old Kewal. After seven minutes, Young AZ already took the lead with a wonderful bang in the cross. “I got the ball from Iman Griffith. I ran on, went in and shot it in with my right. I couldn’t hit it any better,” said Kewal about his first goal.

At Young AZ, Lewis Schouten has been a stable factor in recent weeks. Partly due to the transfer of Fedde de Jong and Zico Buurmeester to the A-selection, the midfielder has become a permanent fixture in Maarten Martens’ team. “At the start of the season we almost played with a completely different team”, Schouten also noticed. “I am always in different positions. That is a bit of an adjustment. But I think I am doing well.”
