The 21-year-old Kwakman made his debut in the first of AZ on August 20, 2023. In the 1-3 game won with RKC Waalwijk, he came in the lines and then he made his appearance in the main force sixteen times.
“These are the moments you finally do it for. I have become a bit older and more mature since I signed my first contract, but I am still the same football player and I want to stay that way. At the moment I play a little less, but I train well and hope I get my chance. Then I have to show how good I am,” says Kwakman in a first reaction to the Alkmaarders.
