AZ Under 19 has qualified for the next round of the Youth League at the expense of Manchester United. The score was 0-0 at the iconic Old Trafford and that was enough to convert after the 2-1 in Wijdewormer.
At the end of November, AZ and their peers from Manchester met for the first match. Yoël van der Ban and Kasper Boogaard managed to score. Tonight AZ did not find the net, but because Manchester did not score either, it was enough.
Coach Michael van Zijtveld had, among others, Elijah Dijkstra, Tristan Kuijsten and Jayden Addai at his disposal. Players who all regularly play for Jong AZ in the first division.
