In the semi-finals of the Dutch Cup, Ajax defeated Az Alkmaar 2-0 and became the opponent of PSV Eindhoven in the final.
Continuing to lead the league with 57 points, two points ahead of PSV Eindhoven, Ajax was the guest of Az Alkmaar in the semi-finals of the Dutch Cup.
Defeating their opponent 2-0 with goals from Steven Berghuis and Davy Klaassen, Ajax advanced to the final.
In another match of the semi-finals, PSV Eindhoven defeated Go Ahead Eagles 2-1 away on Wednesday. While Eran Zahavi and Joey Veerman scored the visitors’ goals, the only goal of the home team came from Inigo Cordoba.
After the results, PSV Eindhoven and Ajax will fight for the title in the Dutch Cup final.
Ajax took the trophy to the museum for the 20th time, beating Vitesse 2-1 with goals from Ryan Gravenberch and David Neres in the final last season.
