The Axel Springer Prize for Young Journalism was awarded for the 32nd time on Wednesday evening.

The prize awarded by the FreeTech – Axel Springer Academy of Journalism and Technology is the most important prize for young journalists in German-speaking countries.

science and future: Lea Oetjen (“Mindener Tageblatt”), series “The last sip”.

Entertainment: Alexander Gutsfeld (“Aachener Zeitung”), podcast series “Narcoland – The meth cartel in the border triangle”.

Best team effort: Lukas Sam Schreiber, Tim Kleikamp, ​​Vincent Oliva, Lenz Domingo Faas and Martin Schlak (RTL + / stern / One Pod Wonder), “A new medicine – the Biontech story”.

The €10,000 George Weidenfeld Prize for courageous reporting and investigative research went to Asami Terajima (“The Kyiv Independent”), who became a war reporter at the age of 22 during the attack on Ukraine.
