“The truth is that I don’t want to publish a song without Tim,” said Sandro Cavazza.
Sandro Cavazza, who can be heard on the posthumous Avicii song “Forever Yours”, speaks about the publication of the song: he does not agree to the release.
“I didn’t agree”
The Swedish singer has been heard several times in Avicii’s EDM songs-including in the track “Forever Yours”. This was now published again on February 14 under the title “Forever Yours – Tim’s 2016 Ibiza. But Sandro Cavazza doesn’t seem to be particularly impressed by it – on the contrary.
The 32-year-old shared his opinion on the release of the almost four-minute piece on Instagram. “Only so that you all know it. I did not agree to publish this song as a single, ”said the singer. According to Cavazza, he had agreed to bring out this demo version as part of a complete live album, but did not agree that the track would appear as a single.
He wants respectful use of Avicii’s memory
“For years I have been asked by the family and penguettes recordings to publish the unpublished material that I made together with Tim, and I always said no,” wrote Cavazza. And he then creaked his actions as follows: “Many of you are probably wondering why these songs have never been published, and the truth is that I don’t want to publish any of these songs without Tim being there. He is the only one who knew when his songs were finished, and I respect that and will continue to do so. ”
In the last sentence, the singer then asked the record label and the family of the late Avicii to respect his decision and “think twice about what is the most respectful way to deal with Tim’s memory, because I don’t think this is the right one .. “
