For some, it is especially important that the cemetery is neat and tidy. “It has to be a bit clean considering our age,” says José Deconinck. “The young guys no longer care about that.”

Ria Watteny regularly passes by the cemetery, even outside All Saints. “If we ever pass by by bike, I stop here,” she says. “Then I talk a bit, I say that everything turned out differently than I thought. But yes, we have to move on.”
