The favorite from Norway won gold. However, bronze went to an Austrian. Lisa Hirner gave the team an unprecedented success.
Lisa Hirner brought bronze in the Nordic combination at the Nordic Ski World Cup in Trondheim. This gave the 21-year-old Austria a very special success: she won the first World Cup individual medal.
The team wrote on Instagram: “Historical success! Lisa Hirner brings the 1st World Cup medal for our combiners at all! Congratulations on this great performance.”

Hirner himself posted a photo of her team in her story and thanked everyone involved for their share in the precious metal. Gold went to Norwegian Gyda Wetsvold Hansen, behind it landed her teammate Ida Marie Hagen.
