Around 9000 Kiss fans experienced a spectacle on June 26th in the Wiener Stadthalle. Fire, blood and bizarre stage interludes were on the program as usual. In the end, however, there was an embarrassing faux pas. The farewell greeting on the screen did not show the Austrian flag, but the Australian one.
The concert was over at around 11 p.m. Kiss ended their performance with the song “God Gave Rock ‘n’ Roll To You II” and received thunderous applause, which quickly turned into laughter, as Austrian media reported. The video wall read “We Love You Vienna” with the Australian flag in the background.
Ui, KISS probably scrolled down one too little in the countries. pic.twitter.com/WZO7lK1z1O

Kiss have not yet commented on the incident. There was also no major reaction from the Austrian side – the small country without kangaroos is used to being confused with Australia anyway. The lack of geography knowledge is forgiven.
The hard rockers will definitely continue. The band is currently touring the world for their “End Of The Road Tour”. After that it should be over. “The last thing you want to be is a world-class boxer who’s been in the ring too long,” explained bassist Gene Simmons.
