Despite great initial difficulties, Germany’s footballers against Austria end the home curse of national coach Christian Wück.
In the third attempt, Germany’s national football team celebrated their first home win under national coach Christian Wück. In the 4: 1 (1: 1) against Austria on Tuesday, however, not everything went smoothly in the rain of Nuremberg. Laura Freiang (39.) and substitute Linda Dallmann (55th), Giovanna Hoffmann (70th) and Vivien Endemann (82nd) caused the German goals after the early goal by Annabel Schasching (3rd).
The selection of the German Football Association (DFB) of their favorite role was just late and won the sixth victory in the sixth duel with Austria.
Countered early
The game had started in front of 15,000 spectators with a thick damper for Germany: countered according to his own throw -in. Klara Bühl lost the ball, Janina Minge got the ball through his legs in full run and Austria’s Schaasching completed completely free -standing. But this hit changed the balance of power, Germany looked more courageous and could have received a penalty just two minutes after the equalization. Austria’s Virginia Kirchberger kept his foot in his own penalty area against Lea Schüller. Schüller came to a conclusion, but Kirchberger’s open sole meant such a great risk of injury that a penalty whistle would have been appropriate. However, referee Ivana Martincic continued to play, there was no Var.
Double change to the break
National coach Wück reacted to the weak introduction of his team with two changes to the break: Sara Däbritz came for Sjoeke Nüsken and Dallmann for goal scorer. It didn’t take long for a Joker Stach: Dallmann used a nice plug -on pass from Jule Brand to take the lead, a long -distance attack with a clever sides had preceded them.
From then on, Germany largely had the game under control without shining. At the third goal, Laura Feiersinger from 1st FC Köln Schützenhilfe provided a failed back pass towards the defense chain. Dallmann hung up directly for the substitute Hoffmann – and the Leipziger woman strongly completed her first international goal.
Third Jokertor by Endemann
When Endemann also hit the inner post twelve minutes later with a precise shot, the third Jokertor was perfect. The Wolfsburg native had only come into play three minutes earlier.
For the DFB team, the Nations League continues with two duels against Scotland (4th and 8th April) in early April.
