Australian football NTFL player Tom Baulch has been banned from drinking beer offered by a supporter on the field.

Fortunately, Baulch’s ban will be just two weeks instead of the top five, writes ABC News Australia.

One harmless sip

The ban led to the game when Baulch’s club Darwin Buffaloes was in a clear losing position in the final quarter of the match.

– People ran around the field taking pictures and having fun. They tried to hand me beers and I kept refusing, Baulch notes.

As the loss-making position deepened and beer service continued, Baulch’s spine broke and he took a sip of the fan’s pint.

Baulch himself did not see the situation as unfortunate.

– I felt like I was trying to interact with supporters. I would never do anything that would hurt the Aussifutis main series, as this is my favorite sport.

Continuation uncertain

The match ended in a 173-87 victory for the Southern District. It was a final-round match, and getting a ban from that fight in that fight caused Baulch a headache.

– Unfortunately, my violation in the football league in the northern region may affect my chances of making a good deal with the team in the southern region.
