The painting ‘Untitled’ (OPP.97:055) comes from Picasso’s late academic period around 1897, when the artist studied at Lonja in Barcelona. The work depicts a nude male model holding a stick and was certified by art expert Josep Palau i Fabre in 2003. The man was also a personal friend of the artist.
