The heart-conquering opening with a wonderful turnout, in which a soloist with a beautiful high soprano voice walked with a burning candle and sang the first verse of ‘Once in Royal David’s City’, was followed by the entire choir in polyphonic singing. The tone was immediately set for this very varied Christmas celebration in the Oosterkerk in Kollum.
