The Spanish soccer champions Atlético Madrid have signed the Danish international Daniel Wass.
As the club announced on Thursday evening, the right-back signed a contract until 2023. Wass is moving from league rivals FC Valencia to the Spanish capital.
At Atlético, Wass is set to replace Kieran Trippier, who moved to Newcastle United in early January. In the current season, the 32-year-old, who has been playing in Spain since 2015, has made 19 league appearances and scored one goal.
