Athletics star Konstanze Klosterhalfen is moving to Puma

The German sporting goods supplier Puma SE presented a prominent newcomer on Wednesday. The company from Herzogenaurach announced that it had signed the German long-distance runner Konstanze Klosterhalfen. The reigning European champion in the 5,000-meter distance will therefore wear Puma’s “Performance Running” products for the first time at the start of the international “Diamond League” competition series on May 5 in Doha.

“Even at the age of 26, ‘KoKo’, as Konstanze Klosterhalfen is known in the athletics community, can look back on an impressive career,” the company said in a statement. In addition to the title at the European Championships last year, Klosterhalfen has already “won medals at world and indoor European Championships and set German records on various distances from 1,500 meters to 10,000 meters”. In addition, the runner was recently successful in road races.

Pascal Rolling, Head of Sports Marketing Running at Puma, was delighted with the cooperation that has now been agreed: “KoKo is a huge talent,” he said in a statement. “She proves her speed over and over again. We are very pleased that she has chosen Puma as her partner and that we can support her on the track and in road racing.”
