Spain’s amateur golfer José Luis Ballester caused a stir with the legendary US Masters. This should be remembered by everyone involved.

With an extraordinary moment, Spaniard José Luis Ballester caused a stir in his debut at the US Masters. At the legendary course in Augusta, the 21-year-old urgently had to leave during his round-and decided on an unusual solution.

On the 13th hole, the reigning amateur champion disappeared towards Rae’s Creek to make it easier. “I thought: I really have to pee,” said Ballester later. The fact that there were toilets nearby was omitted at that moment. However, the incident was not embarrassing. Ballester emphasized: “If I had to do it again, I would do it again.”

The incident occurred while his flight partner Justin Thomas had to struggle on the green. The waiting time used the ball yield to hide as inconspicuously as possible. He did not quite succeed – because suddenly applause from the audience ranks opened. “It was probably the loudest applause I got today, and that was kind of funny,” said the Spaniard.

Sporty ball esters ended his first day on the Par-76 course with four over Par. Whether the young Spaniard threatens a punishment is still open. The Masters tournament is known for its strict rules. At the beginning of the week, a college coach was sent off the pitch-because of a pair of too short. Sitting on the site and the use of smartphones are also prohibited in Augusta. It remains to be seen how the officials react to the incident on the stream.
