Option pulled after loan
Atalanta Bergamo has bought Merih Demiral (24) from Juventus – the Nerazzurri confirmed that. After a one-year loan, the table eighth in Serie A made use of his purchase option, which is said to be 20 million euros.
The centre-back is the first Turkish footballer to have been paid over €50m in transfer fees over the course of his career. Demiral generated transfer proceeds of €51.95m, overtaking Arda Turan (35, Galatasaray).
