“Whether someone wanted to pick up a suspicious package at Fedex for a check?” It seemed to be a normal working day for two Limburg customs officers. Until a few months later there were suddenly several combis in front of them with a search order. The two were suddenly regarded as drug criminals. “While we just did our work and our management had already made it clear to the investigators a week before the house searches,” testifies one of the customs officers at HLN.
