Frank Mill, world champion in 1990 and long-time Bundesliga player at Mönchengladbach and Dortmund, died. That became known on Tuesday.
The death of the former international confirmed his ex-clubs Fortuna Düsseldorf And Rot-Weiss Essen, citing family circles on the news platform X on Tuesday. According to the Bild newspaper, the 67-year-old died of the consequences of a heart attack on Tuesday night, which he had already suffered at the end of May. Since then he has been treated in the University Hospital Essen. He leaves three children.
