Alexander Isak, the best striker at Newcastle United, apparently wants to switch to Liverpool FC. Another case in this transfer summer, where top players rehearse the uprising against their club.

At Newcastle United there was a barbecue shortly before the start of the new season, in addition to the entire team, children and relatives of the players were invited. An event that also received a lot of attention in the national English media: it was particularly attentively registered who was missing at the company party: Alexander Isak. Newcastles top striker, second best shooter of the Premier League in the past season, behind Mo Salah, but in front of Erling Haaland.

Isak explained his change of change in the summer, he is moving to Liverpool FC. Since then he has been on the siding of the “Magpies”: Isak remained at home on the journey of Asia, and trained at his ex-club Real Sociedad. Most recently, “The Athletic” reported internal statements by the Swedish striker that he would never appear again for Newcastle. This could be seen as a threat of strikes if Newcastle should not let him go.

Offer of £ 110 million from Liverpool rejected

The club tour has already rejected an offer of £ 110 million from Liverpool. Alan Shearer, Clubicone and BBC commentator, ultimately pointed out that this sum was too low for a top striker like Isak. For 110 million, according to Shearer, you probably don’t even get Dan Burn. With this, Shearer wanted to highlight the merits of the rock solid, 33 -year -old central defender from Newcastle, but above all the dimensions on the continued completely over -overturned transfer market.

Under £ 150 million, one hears from Newcastle, United does not want to negotiate a possible change at all. The club insists on compliance with the contract that is still running until 2028. For the time being, Isak remains locked out from the training company, and he is also not in the squad for the opening game on Saturday against Aston Villa.

Specialist lawyer: Newcastle in law, players on the longer lever

How fixed the situation around Isak is is also shown by the fact that lawyers are already saying. The BBC contacted a renowned work and sports lawyer from Norwich. He confirmed that Newcastle was absolutely right to insist on the fulfillment of the contract with a player willing to move, also through punitive measures such as a temporary exclusion from training. And that there is no legal obligation to negotiate with other clubs if you want to change.

However, the lawyer, which was obviously familiar with the customs of professional football, emphasized that the club was considerable athletic and financial risk if he puts a top earner on the stands. Its market value and possible sales proceeds in the following transfer window should then drop. A poker in which the player usually has the better cards in the end, the lawyer told BBC.

Gyökeres, Lookman, Isak – continuation of the Transfer theater

In fact, Isak’s case is part of the almost familiar transfer theater. This summer, Viktor Gyökeres successfully changed a change from Sporting to Arsenal. At Bergamo, Ademola Lookman stepped onto the strip. The list of players who pushed a desired change through opposing behavior, specifically forced by consultants or intrigues to the open strike, seems to grow with every transfer window.

Nothing will change as long as the balance of power in international football is distributed in favor of the players. Unlike, for example, in the US professionals, where power is clearly due to the clubs and even NBA superstars like Luka Doncic are transferred to their will.

In football, on the other hand, the players know that they ultimately sit on the longer lever. Hardly any top club will be able to afford to put a striking top earner in the stands in the already overheated competition. Which would mean nothing other than burning a million content or foregoing a mega transfer proceeds. The Saudi League, which is lagging with obscene salaries, gives the players another means of pressure.

Newcastle needs replacement for Isak

In the end of the dispute between Newcastle and Isak, it will be a matter of whether the club will find a replacement for its striker who shot the “Magpies” in the Champions League with 23 goals in the previous season. However, Newcastles Management, in which sports director Paul Mitchell resigned in summer, previously at the transfer market was extremely unhappy, searched for a possible ISAK replacement. None of the murdered strikers, whether Benjamin Sesko, Hugo Ekikte or Joao Pedro came to the River Tyne.

Newcastle has currently focused on Yoane Wissa from FC Brentford, and, according to media reports, should actually be on the point of obligation. Wissa, in the pre -season with 20 goals of the club’s record scorer, is said to be dissatisfied in Brentford. He had left early in the summer training camp, according to BBC he threatened with a strike if Brentford did not let him go in summer.
