According to a spokesperson for the security region, the deceased victim was in one of the two passenger cars. One of the wounded is the truck driver, he was taken to the hospital.
Gone is full of emergency services
The accident happened around 7.30 pm. The road has since been closed in both directions. There are several fire engines, dozens of police officers, ambulances and also a trauma helicopter around the accident.
In addition to the regular fire engines, the fire brigade also called on the crash tenders of Schiphol – special fire engines that can extinguish planes.
The smoke of the fire could be seen from far away. According to Rijkswaterstaat, the fire has been extinguished, but the emergency services are ‘still busy’ in both directions of the highway.
