At least five people are killed after an airstrike in Yitomir, Ukraine

At least Five people have died this Tuesday, including two one-year-old children, after a air attack on a residential area in the city of Malin, in the Yitomir region, as reported by the Ukrainian State Emergency Service.

“On March 8 at 8:50 p.m. (local time) in Malin, Zhytomyr region, seven single-storey private residential buildings have been destroyed, five people have died, including two children (born in 2021), as a result of the air attack”, as reported by the emergency corps on its Telegram account, as reported by the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.

For now, rescue operations involving eleven people are underway and two units of SES equipment. According to Ukrinform, six villages in the Naroditsia community remain without electricity in the Zhytomyr region following the Russian airstrike.
