“There was an accident involving a private company bus transporting tourists from Guadalajara in Jalisco state to Guayabitos,” said firefighter Pedro Nunez. Guayabitos in the state of Nayarit is a tourist resort known for its beaches on the Pacific Ocean.
The bus crashed into a ravine near the city of Compostela. An investigation has been opened into the cause of the accident and the identity of the victims. These are “national tourists”, according to Nunez.
