Astrid Holleeder seriously disappoints with her performances as a legal expert in RTL Tonight. She is now beaten down again by Johan Derksen, but a bit harder. “Salt bag!”
It is a miscalculation by RTL: with the contracting of Astrid Holleeder, the new talk show RTL Tonight had a flying and much-discussed start, but now they are still stuck with that woman. We now occasionally see her as a legal expert in the program, but when she is asked a substantive question, she immediately shuts down completely.
‘She doesn’t add anything’
That woman is of no use to you at all, says Johan Derksen. “I watched it a few times this week and that Mrs. Holleeder…” he begins Today Inside.
“I thought her first performance was impressive, because she talked about her experiences and we had actually never seen her before, but then the intention was that she would continue to join in and now she just turns out to be a very boring lady who has nothing to say and nothing to add.”
‘It’s pointless’
René van der Gijp, himself no longer the most popular talk show guest in our country, thinks the same as Johan. “Yes, but if you have the best, Belleman, then you don’t have to put her at the table. That’s pointless.”
Colleague Wilfred Genee: “Yes, she had to respond to something in legal terms last week, but she couldn’t quite figure it out.”
Salt bag
Johan thinks that Astrid misses the X-factor. “No, she doesn’t have it. There is a salt bag with blow-dried hair. She sits there and she doesn’t move and nothing comes out. It’s disappointing.”
He adds in his podcast: “Every time she is there, she shows that she adds nothing at all and that she is a somewhat boring woman without spectacular lyrics.”
