Aston Villa are expected to be without centre-back Diego Carlos for several months. The 29-year-old, who joined the Premier League club from Sevilla FC on July 1, tore his Achilles tendon in his second game for his new club.
The Brazilian had to be substituted in injury time in the 2-1 win over Everton. The club announced that the Villans’ most expensive summer transfer, with a transfer fee of 31 million euros, will soon undergo an operation and then complete a rehabilitation program.
