Arsenal and Tottenham face off at the Emirates Stadium in round 9 of the Premier League. Arsenal took the lead 1-0 with Thomas’ goal in the 20th minute. The visiting team responded with a goal scored by Harry Kane from the penalty spot in the 31st minute and finished the first half with this score. Starting the second half fast, the home team brought the score 2-1 with a goal by Gabriel Jesus. Arsenal, who scored another goal with Granit Xhaka in the 67th minute of the match, won the North London derby 3-1. Tottenham’s Emerson Leite was shown a red card in the 62nd minute.
With this result, Arsenal achieved their 7th victory in the league and made 21 points and continued their leadership. Tottenham, their first defeat of the season, had 17 points.
Next week Arsenal will face Liverpool at the ground. Tottenham will host Brighton.
