On Saturday, demonstrators gathered at the British Parliament. Some held signs with the text “I am against genocide. I support Palestine Action”.

Palestine Action has previously taken action against British organizations that have ties with Israel. Last month, activists damaged two military planes, out of dissatisfaction with British support for Israel.

Minister of the Interior Yvette Cooper then said that the activities of the group justify a prohibition based on anti -terror legislation. Those who express support to the group can get a prison for up to fourteen years.

Critics, including UN experts, have argued that inflicting damage to other people’s property is not equal to terrorism.
