Aron Kiviharju is looking for a breakthrough in TPS: “A league place shines in the eyes”

Aron Kiviharju is knocking on the doors of the SM league.

Aron Kiviharju, 16, is one of Finland’s most talented puck players. Last season, the defender scored seven goals and 30 points in 35 matches as a minor in the U20 SM series.

The good mood continued in spring at the under-18 World Championships in Germany. Raisiolainen was Finland’s leading defender, and in six games he had six assists.

Recently, the talent has been training with the TPS league team.

– It feels very, very nice to be with the league team. And above all, it’s great when I’ve completed the entire junior path at TPS. This is a really professional job, says Kiviharju.

The veterans of TPS support Junnu.

– Appropriate instructions have arrived. Not too much though. Korppari (Lauri Korpikoski) and Teemu Kivihalme are experienced players, and they probably give me and other young people the most small tips.

A-juntun or Liiga?

Kiviharju already played in CHL games, and the youngster’s league debut is probably close.

– Of course, this League is the place that shines in the eyes the most. I would like to play here, the young man says.

The A-junior league is another potential option.

– Then we have to see what makes sense. It’s no problem for me to play in A-junnu. You can get tough games there too.

– It will probably be a little disappointing if I play in the A teams. But from there you get more fire for the whole thing. If there is a need, then we will pick up speed from there and come back harder, Kiviharju thinks.

Target

According to his own words, Aron Kiviharjun needs to improve the basics and be careful in order to be ready for the men’s series. JUSSI ESKOLA

The 16-year-old second-generation hockey player will not be of reserve age for the NHL until the summer of 2024. Kiviharju’s goal is clear.

– I have made such a decision that I am going to play in the NHL one day. Because it is, I don’t know. That’s what we’re going for, and I’m ready to work 100% for it, the player assures.

Compliments from Canada

TSN sports channel’s well-known puck expert Craig Button followed the under-18 Hlinka Gretzky tournament played in Red Deer, Canada, a couple of weeks ago.

The hockey pro fell in love with Kiviharju’s moves.

– Aron was great. When the game is fast, it seems slow to him. He always knows what to do on the ice, Button said to Iltalehti in August.

– If he is not the first booking of the entire age group, then he will be booked very soon after that, Button shakes his assessment.

Kiviharju is a player that makes the people of Turku better to head to the Gatorade Center this season.
