“Very disappointed” by the World Cup

For VfL captain Maximilian Arnold, the fact that there are no VfL Wolfsburg players in the squad for the World Cup in Qatar, despite the recent strong performances and nine competitive games in a row without defeat, also has something to do with the Wolfsburg location.

Arnold had not been nominated by national coach Hansi Flick for the World Cup starting on Sunday and had been “very, very disappointed” about it.
