Arminia Bielefeld has signed goalkeeper Leo Oppermann from Hamburger SV on a one-season loan. The 1.91 meter goalkeeper made 34 appearances for the second team of the Rothosen in the Regionalliga Nord last season.

“We’ve been watching Leo for a long time and know his performance data over the past few years. He has been playing consistently for years, has very good reaction skills and is very well trained in football. We believe that he can take the next step in the professional field with us and that his qualities will help us,” says head coach Michél “Mitch” Kniat about the new signing.

“The first impressions here on site have confirmed my discussions with Mitch and Michael. There is a spirit of optimism and the path taken by Arminia fits in with my ideas. I’m looking forward to the season and will do everything to ensure that we achieve our goals,” said Oppermann.
