Arket and artist Evelina Kroon collaborate on fundraising project

Arket, the Swedish sister label of the H&M Group, is taking a special approach to the Christmas season this year.

In a socially committed collaboration with Stockholm-based artist Evelina Kroon, the label is launching an exclusive blanket in aid of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR). For every blanket sold, Arket donates the equivalent of two thermal blankets directly to the UNHCR.

For Kroon, the blanket as an everyday object symbolizes home, warmth and security. It evokes a feeling of connection. “It reminds you of them [bittere] reality of others (…) and stands for solidarity in the comfort of your own home,” said Kroon in the official press release.

Arket and Kroon already worked together in 2022. At that time, a series of colorful blankets was created in cooperation with the Swedish wool weaving mill Klippan. The new, limited version now clearly refers to the UNHCR. It combines the blue of the United Nations with a natural off-white, inspired by satellite images of the organization’s operational locations. A soft red represents warmth, compassion and a feeling of welcome.

The collaboration is in line with fashion brands’ growing commitment to helping solve global challenges. At the same time, it fits Arket’s goal of telling authentic stories about Scandinavian heritage. It was only at the beginning of October that the brand announced a collaboration with Barbour to honor the community of the remote island of Gotland.

The Arket x Evelina Kroon blanket will be available in select stores and the Arket online shop from December 4, 2025.
