Arjen Robben warms up FC Bayern before the top game against BVB

FC Bayern vs BVB – more is not possible in German football! One who knows exactly how the classic works is Arjen Robben. Before the cracker between the two championship candidates on Saturday evening (6:30 p.m.), the long-time Dortmund fright gave his assessment.

“It’s going to be interesting. The change of coach can have a positive effect. At home in the Allianz Arena, I see Bayern as the clear favourites,” explained the Dutchman in an interview on the FCB website.

The game became particularly explosive due to the surprising dismissal of Julian Nagelsmann and the commitment of former BVB training manager Thomas Tuchel as his successor.

Robben has a few tips ready for the current Bayern pros. “Will will be a decisive factor. In a game like this you have to attack, you have to be there. […] You have to be confident from the start and show your opponent that they won’t stand a chance,” revealed the 39-year-old.

His prognosis for the weekend: “It won’t be easy for Bayern, but I think they’ll be top of the table again on Saturday night.”

FC Bayern: Arjen Robben has “a lot of respect” for BVB

In Robben’s opinion, FC Bayern currently has “the strongest squad in the league”, but the former winger also praised BVB: “I have a lot of respect for Dortmund, they have had an outstanding development as a club.”

Nevertheless, he sees his former club as an overall advantage. “The team is in top form for all competitions. The team has players with a lot of imagination, speed, power and a goal threat,” enthused Robben of the record champions.

The vice world champion from 2010 even thinks the triple is possible: “There are definitely titles in this season.”
