Argentina is struggling with historic heat wave | Abroad

Several places in Argentina have to deal with temperatures of up to 45 degrees. However, there is hope for cooling next week, because rain is forecast then.

The heat is accompanied by a severe drought. Authorities fear that soy cultivation will be affected as a result. Soy is one of Argentina’s main exports. Due to the predicted failed harvest, farmers will lose an estimated 4.5 billion euros in turnover.
