Julian Nagelsmann and his team got off to a furious start in the new Bundesliga season. With nine points after three games and a goal difference of 15:1, they even set a starting record.
The feared opponent from Gladbach interrupted this euphoria and Bayern had to share points for the first time. In a wild game, the record champions despaired of Gladbach goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

With the 2-0 win in Milan, FC Bayern set two of their own records. Firstly, Bayern are unbeaten in 29 games in the group stage of the Champions League and secondly, Mané, Kimmich and Co. won their 19th Champions League opening game in a row.
